1. The short version

You keep your copyright. Every manuscript, title, character and illustration an author creates remains the author's property. Redoak Publisher provides publishing services; we never take ownership of your book. Everything else on this website (design, code, wording, logo) is ours, and the portfolio pieces belong to their respective authors and are shown with permission.

2. Website content

The design, layout, copy, graphics, code and the Redoak Publisher name and logo on this website are © 2026 Redoak Publisher. All rights reserved. You may view, download and print pages for personal, non-commercial reference. You may not reproduce, republish, scrape or redistribute site content (including portfolio images) without written permission, except for the limited uses described below.

3. Books, covers and portfolio work

• Each published book shown in our portfolio (for example Zoe Heartlight and the Missing Smile, Behind the Soul Volume II, Who I Am, Hold On To God, The Making of the Dodo Dictionary) is © its author. Cover artwork and interior illustration are © the credited artist or studio.
• These works appear here with the author's permission, solely to demonstrate our publishing, design and illustration services.
• Authors may ask at any time for their book, cover or testimonial to be removed from this website, and we will action the request within [7 working days].
• Cover items labelled "cover design concept" are original studio design studies created for illustration purposes; they are not covers of real publications and must not be presented as such.

4. Your manuscript and materials

• When you send us a manuscript, outline, images or other materials, you remain the owner. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to use them only to perform the services you requested (editing, design, formatting, publishing, marketing).
• We treat all unpublished material as strictly confidential: access is limited to the assigned team, files are stored on access-controlled systems, and nothing is shared publicly without your written approval.
• You confirm that materials you supply do not infringe anyone else's copyright, trademark or privacy rights, and that quoted or licensed third-party content (song lyrics, scripture editions, photographs) is cleared by you where required.

5. What we create for you (deliverables)

• Cover designs, interior layouts, illustrations, logos and author websites we produce become your property on final payment, unless your written agreement states otherwise.
• Our working files, proprietary templates and tools remain ours; source files are delivered where your quote includes them.
• Some components carry third-party licences (fonts, stock imagery, scripture text editions such as the KJV). We disclose these licences with your final files so you always know what you may and may not do with each element.
• Until payment is complete, we retain a lien on the deliverables and may not release final print-ready files.

6. Portfolio and marketing use

We may mention your project and show the finished cover in our portfolio, case studies and advertising only with your written permission (email counts). You may withdraw that permission at any time; withdrawal applies to future use and does not affect material already printed or distributed.

7. Trademarks

"Redoak Publisher" and the oak-mark logo are our trade marks [registered / pending: confirm status]. Third-party marks appearing on this site, including Amazon, KDP, IngramSpark, Apple Books, Google Play Books, Kobo, Barnes & Noble, Trustpilot, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, belong to their respective owners and are referenced for identification only (nominative use). We are an independent publishing services company and are not owned, endorsed or operated by those platforms.

8. Testimonials and reviews

Written reviews are reproduced from Trustpilot and our own website with the reviewer's permission; video testimonials are embedded or linked from our YouTube channel with the speaker's consent. Names and book titles are shown as provided by the reviewer. We do not edit reviews in a way that changes their meaning, and we never publish a testimonial without permission.

9. Reporting infringement

If you believe any material on this website infringes your copyright or other rights, email info@redoakpublisher.com with: (1) identification of the work, (2) the location on our site, (3) your contact details and a statement of good-faith belief. Valid notices are actioned by removal or correction within [7 working days]. Equally, if you find our work misused elsewhere, tell us and we will pursue it.

10. Permissions and licensing requests

Requests to reuse portfolio images, cover artwork or illustrations (including for press, retail or education) should be sent to info@redoakpublisher.com. Where the underlying right belongs to an author or artist, we will forward the request to them for decision; we cannot license what we do not own.
